Continuously Upgrading the Way We Train
We use accredited testing protocols and constantly update ourselves with the latest information to ensure you are at the top of your game. We also lay a strong emphasis on educating our clients about these assessments so as to increase overall awareness- both physical and mental.
The Movement Screening documents movement patterns that are essential to normal function. We identify functional limitations and asymmetries by screening your movement patterns. Issues like this can reduce the effects of functional training and physical conditioning and distort body awareness. Progress is constantly tracked by coaches to expedite processes. The Movement Screen Score is used as it directly links to the most beneficial corrective exercises to restore mechanically sound movement patterns.
This process is carried out by a physiotherapist and includes an evaluation of the condition and functioning of an athlete’s muscles, joints, and bones for factors that may contribute to abnormalities in body structures. Specific standardised tests and procedures are used to gain information on several areas of the patients physical make up. These components can be divided into roughly 4 categories:
- Joint Range of Motion
- Core Strength
- Functional Strength
The objective of the screening is to highlight injury history and its effects of performance. It also aims to understand other contributory factors to injury. It is a powerful tool to improve physical performance and health as well as to prevent future injuries.
PHYSICAL ASSESSMENT (BASIC)
Comprehensive consultation and physical assessments are done to establish a baseline, goals and specific training methods that help with assessing your foundational strength and stability in the basic movement patterns.
PHYSICAL ASSESSMENT (ATHLETIC)
Advanced physical assessments are more specific to your sport and will take into account the requirement of your sport and the position you occupy in the team.
